Park Protectors is an interactive, family-centered concept created in collaboration with Weber State Botany students to reduce “plant-blindness” in Lester Park through hands-on exploration rather than traditional signage. The system pairs durable, vandal-resistant tree posts—each with an engraved leaf plate—with a library-kept educational rubbing booklet that turns learning into a tactile scavenger hunt. Designed for longevity, low maintenance, and broad appeal, this research-backed concept offers a sustainable solution ready for future development by a paid design intern.
